My lab relates human perception to quantitative measurements of the structure and function of the visual pathway. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an important technique in our work, although we also make use of retinal imaging and psychophysics. In many cases, projects in my lab begin with a methodological advance, which is used to understand normative visual function, and then applied to patients with neurological or ophthalmologic disease.
